What we Believe

What we believe

The Bible

We believe in the authority of the Bible, as the complete word of God (inspired and inerrant).

The Trinity

We believe in the Trinity, God’s plan of salvation for humanity as planned by God the Father, executed by God the Son by His atoning death on the cross and His resurrection, applied and worked out in the life of the believers by God the Holy Spirit.

Our Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ (who died as our substitute for sin), entirely apart from merits or works that every person is responsible to receive or reject salvation by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe He will return with power and glory to establish his eternal Messianic kingdom on earth.

The Church

We believe in the body of Christ:

  • The universal church composed of all born again believers all over the world, and,
  • The local expression of this – where believers meet together for worship, breaking of bread, fellowship, bible study and prayer.

Believers

We believe in the equality of the believers in the body of Christ being equally precious as they are redeemed by the precious blood of Christ – being equally important and useful as indwelt by the Holy Spirit to contribute to the building up of the church to show His fullness, unity, love, wisdom and power.

The Coming King

We believe in the preparation of the Church for the second coming of Lord Jesus Christ, of which worship is an important part. Therefore, we encourage individual worship of believers in Spirit and in truth around the Lord’s table every Sunday, enabling them to declare the preciousness of the Lord, as experienced by them. We exhort and encourage believers to take part in the Lord’s table in a worthy manner, to be prepared for the glorious appearing of the Lord. This is important as “the Father seeks such worshippers” (John 4:23)

The Commission

We believe in the stewardship of the church in preaching the gospel to all people regularly so that souls are saved and added to the church, and discipled so that the kingdom of God is built. Every opportunity to proclaim the gospel is to be taken and every believer is encouraged to participate in reaching out locally, nationally, and internationally.
